Starting a DJ career at the age of 12, Caserta learned early on that musical diversity would be the key to his success. Never one to jump around and throw cake or other foods at party goers, Caserta decided musical selection and presentation through mixing and transitions would be his forte.
Originally priding himself on being a Hip Hop DJ, that led Caserta to seek out the original samples to the Hip Hop tracks he loved so much. Disco, House, Rock and Classic R&B became just as important as the current Hip Hop and Pop records he was playing. With a natural feel for the dance floor, Caserta is able to mix it up from the obscure to the most popular songs of the moment without missing a beat.
These experiences led him to gigs as the opening and intermission act for the 2007 KISS Concert in Boston. He also holds a residency at the W Hotel and has worked with the NFL, Island Records and Universal Music Group to name a few.
As with most DJ's, the production and studio bug bit Caserta not long after he began. This led him to producing remixes and original material. Having multiple features on BBC 1 Radio (Including the Gilles Peterson Show) and the Defected In The House Radio Show certainly were gratifying accomplishments. However it was having the majority of his releases come out on vinyl that was most rewarding for Caserta. Seeing his name on the label of a record the same way he would see Michael, Prince and Stevie's name definitely scratched that itch of nostalgia he's always had.
With an eclectic taste and obsession for the finer details, when he's not in the studio, Caserta is behind the decks spinning the tracks that inspired him to want to be in a recording studio in the first place.
